Hunter Martineau concluded his junior campaign collecting his seventh Hawk of the Week honor this year.
The 5-11 point guard strung together 23 points, 19 rebounds, and 15 assists as the Hawks split their final two games of the season at home. Martineau pushed Hilbert within seconds of pulling off the win against D’Youville (76-77) but carried them home against Pitt-Greensburg (98-76) falling two assists shy of notching another triple double.
He averaged 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and his normal 7.5 assists per game, shot 85% from the foul line as he helped Hilbert finish the season at 10-15 overall.
The Orlando native tossed in 13 points while dishing seven assists against D’Youville. Then three days later, he pushed Hilbert to a 22 point victory and was within striking distance of another triple double after canning 10 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and finishing with eight helpers.
For the third year in a row, the junior point guard finished the season leading the AMCC league with 180 total assists at a7.2 assists per game clip. Additionally, he ranked #6 in the league at the end of regulation with 167 total rebounds.
