Joseph Stevenson’s stealer performance in his first collegiate start resulted in his selection as a Hawk of the Week today.

The goalie from Allentown, Pa was credited with 12 saves as the men’s lacrosse team opened the 2018 season with a 7-6 overtime win against Thiel College March 3.

Stevenson earned his first career win while facing 29 shots.  The 5-8 sophomore made several huge stops early and late in the game to preserve the win.  Stevenson closed regulation with a pair of saves in the final 22-seconds to force overtime.

He also made a critical play in the clearing game which took away a big transition scoring opportunity for Thiel.
