David Arlaud’s work-horse effort in a pair of games last week pushed him to his second career Hawk of the Week honor in men’s basketball.

The 6-5 forward led the Hawks in steals and was second in overall scoring and rebounding as they split their week, going 1-1.  Arlaud tallied 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds while posting four steals and two assists in Hilbert’s six-point loss at Houghton (71-65) and three-point win against Alfred (85-82).

For the week, the Paramaribo, Suriname native averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and a pair of steals as Hilbert improved to 2-2 overall.

Arlaud hit 11 of his 17 field goal attempts (68.8%) and hit two key free throws down the stretch to secure the victory against Alfred.
