Ryan Bonafede started his senior season on fire and earned his second consecutive Hawk of the Week honor.
Beginning Monday with a 9-inning game against Monmouth and concluding Saturday’s with another 9-inning game against Maritime, Bonafede led the Hawks at the plate. He finished with a .591 ave (13-of-22), scored six runs, hit five doubles and one home run while knocking in 8 RBIs. “Bono” was walked once, never struck-out and earned one stolen base. He finished with a .600 on base percentage and a .955 slugging percentage.
The Lancaster native’s most productive game was against Maritime (3/11) when he went 3-for-4 (.750), scored two runs, posted a pair of doubles and knocked in two runs.
Currently Bonafede leads the AMCC in batting average (.567), OB% (.625), SLG% (.967), RBIs (13) doubles (7) and is 2nd in total bases (29) when adding in the three games played on the Hawks’ opening weekend in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
