Derrek Carman steady play in the paint lifted Hilbert to 1-1 record on the week as he earned his second Hawk Of the Week honor is season.

The 6-5 junior forward collected 33 points and 16 rebounds while hitting 52.2 percent of his field goal attempts.  The Spencer-van Etten product averaged 16 points and eight rebounds per game while going 9-for-12 at the charity stripe.

Carman lifted the Hawks in their 10-point victory over Bradford scoring 18 points and grabbing nine rebounds while defending the AMCC preseason player of the year.  Three days later, Carman added 15 points, seven rebounds and one steal in his team’s nine point loss to Altoona.

Currently, Carman is ranked 2nd in the AMCC in rebounds/game (7.7) and 4th in FG % (53.2%).
