Korey Schwab led Hilbert in four tough matches last week and earned his second Hawk of the Week honor this month.
The 6’2 Outside Hitter averaged 3.15 kills and 2.0 digs per set leading with 3.27 points per the 13 sets played. The Hawks went 0-4 with three-set losses to Medaille, #10 Vassar and Siena Heights, an NAIA scholarship school. Hilbert played Penn State Behrend to a 4-set match and lost by an overall total of two points (25-22, 25-18, 15-25, 25-23).
Schwab finished with three double-digit kill games picking-up 16 against Behrend where he also posted 13 digs. For the week, the Lockport native led the team with .199 hitting percentage and 42.5 points. Schwab’s best hitting performance was against Siena Heights where he collected 11 kills with only two hitting errors in 33 attempts (.273).
