Jackie Morgan’s last-second heroics helped the women’s soccer team avoid an overtime finish this weekend ensuring her third career Hawk Of the Week honor. 

The senior midfielder chased down an open ball just past midfield and drove hard to the frame against only the opposing team’s goalie.  Unselfishly she dished the ball to Courtney Vaccaro who scored the game winning goal with 96-seconds remaining in regulation to secure the 2-1 home opener victory against Chatham University September 10.

Earlier in the contest, Morgan served a perfectly-placed corner kick to the box which Jennifer Colvin headed home giving Hilbert a 1-0 lead just seven minutes into the game.

The Linwood, NY native assisted twice in just her second game played this season.
