Kara Rehbaum

Kara Rehbaum begins her 20th year as an assistant athletics director at Hilbert College in 2023-24. She joined the staff in 2004 and has continuously expanded her role in the department.

Rehbaum continues to coordinate game schedules for all 18 sport programs, serves as game officials coordinator for all home contests and provides support relating to financial matters in the athletics department. 

Rehbaum serves as the Sports Information Director tracking, dispersing and maintaining a thorough historical database on all game statistics, files and pertinent team information for the longevity of the athletics program. All media releases/publicity and website maintenance is managed within her office in addition to web video postings.

Prior to Hilbert, Rehbaum’s sports-related employment lists the Buffalo Destroyers in the Arena Football League from (2001 – 2003) and Canisius College (1986 – 1998) when she was the head coach of the women’s basketball program from 1993-1998 after serving as an assistant coach the first seven years.

In the fall of 1984, Rehbaum played professionally for the Atlanta Comets in the Women’s American Basketball Association.  The WABA helped lay the foundation for the American Basketball League (ABL) and the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBA) emergence in the early ‘90’s.

Rehbaum is a member of College Sports Communicators and Women Leaders in College Sports organizations.

Kara (Haun) Rehbaum graduated from Canisius College with a bachelor's in physical education with a concentration in athletic training.  She and her husband John reside in Cheektowaga and are the proud parents of Connor John (Hobart '15) and Hannah Katharine (Brockport, '17 & '19).
