Korey Schwab, ’16, returned to the volleyball court at Hilbert as Calvin Crosby’s assistant coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball programs in August 2023.
Schwab was a four-year starter (2013-2016) for the Hawks and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in sets and matches played (403/118), as well as service aces (88) in addition to ranking 2nd in kills (865), attack attempts (2641), digs (671) and points (1007.5).
From 2018-19, Schwab led the Starpoint High School girls’ varsity volleyball program after serving as the head coach for the junior varsity team the two prior seasons.
The Lockport, N.Y. native enjoyed a long tenure working with the Niagara County Volleyball Club (Niagara Falls). He has been coaching multiple teams in different age groups and recently served as the senior coach manager.
Schwab transitioned to Hilbert after a two-year cycle working in Medaille University’ athletic department as an assistant sports information director and game manager.
