Edward Eagan joined the Hilbert College softball staff for the spring 2020 season and will return this fall to serve his fourth year as an assistant coach.
Eagan brings with him over 30 years of softball and baseball experience.Â
He founded X-Treme Fast Pitch Softball of WNY in 2001, served as a Head Coach and Softball Director for ten years in the Carnegie Scranton Recreation Association in Hamburg after five years of service in the C.S.R.A as the Assistant Baseball Director beginning in 1985.
From 2012 to 2016, Eagan coached every age group in the WNY Sting Softball organization while serving as a Board Member.
Eagan was presented the Character Coach of the Year from the town of Hamburg in 2005.
The Hamburg native is enjoying his retirement after working for 31 years as a NYS Correction Officer. He continues to be a participant in the Youth Assistance Program which provides counseling to troubled youth.
