Hilbert College Athletics

Hans Schroeder is a very welcomed addition on the sideline as he joins coach Schultz’ staff this 2014 season.  Schroeder will assist in all facets of the game and organization of the program as a first-year collegiate coach.

Since graduating from Nazareth College with a bachelors degree in business administration, with a focus on marketing in May 2011, Schroeder extended his volleyball career around the world.  He recently played for the Western Volleyball region (WEVA) after being hand selected to the roster which was comprised of players from five different stats.  He helped his team earn a third place finish in the first-ever professional men’s indoor volleyball league. 

Prior to that experience, the rightside hitter played professionally in southern Italy (Presicce) for the Filanto Volley Cassarano organization during the 2011 season and led his team in several statistics.

As an undergrad, the Kenmore native was a member of the Golden Flyers very successful volleyball program. Besides the 2011 National Division III Championship, his teams earned multiple conference championships in the North Eastern College Volleyball Conference (2010 and 2011).  

As a four-year player and two-year captain, Schroeder was recognized for his talents on the court as well.  He was named as a 1st  team NECVA All-Conference selection, a 2011 American Volleyball Coaches Association 1st  Team All-American  and was the 2010 NECVA Conference MVP. 

Schroeder currently serves as the Vice President for his family-owned Big Man Snacks Inc.
