Kyle Zitnik joined Rick Schunke’s lacrosse staff in the fall of 2014 and has been a gifted volunteer assistance coach ever since.
Zitnik studied physical education and health education (2006-07 thru 2008-09) at Canisius College and was a 3-year member of Golden Griffins lacrosse program. His 2008 team won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championship before they fell in defeat to Syracuse University in the NCAA tournament.
Prior to college, Zitnik was a respected high school athlete at Frontier. The two-year lacrosse captain earned a spot on the All-WNY First Team and was named the WYNY Face-off Man of the Year in 2006. He concluded his career as the MVP of the senior All-Star game and record holder for face-off percentage and ground balls for the Falcons. He kept busy year-round playing both soccer and ice hockey all during high school.
Zitnik earned his associates degree in criminal justice from Erie Community College in 2011 and is currently working for the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
