Richard Posey joins coach Jim Kubiak’s football staff this spring and will serve as a linebacker coach.
Posey brings seven years of coaching experience to the Hawks. He previously coached at Canisius High School (Buffalo) during the spring and fall 2021 seasons.
Prior to working with the Crusaders, Posey was a member of the Niagara Falls High School football staff from 2015 to 2019. He was tabbed the linebackers and the offensive line coach in addition to serving as the run-game coordinator.
Posey graduated from Niagara Falls High School and was named the 2003 Niagara Frontier Defensive Player of the Year as well as a two-time All-Niagara Frontier League All-Star. He began his academic and athletic career at Erie Community College in 2003. He was a starting defensive end for the No. 6 ranked junior college team.
Posey stretched his football career for eight years post ECC, where he played professional indoor football in both the af2 and the IFL as a fullback, linebacker and defensive lineman.
