Head Coach Ted Egger introduced Dallas Tidwell as his Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach on April 18, 2023.
Tidwell most recently served as the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach at Presentation College before joining the Hawks this month.
“Coach Tidwell brings an immense amount of experience, steadiness, and enthusiasm to our program,” head coach Ted Egger said. “He has played quarterback at the Division I level and will bring a consistent style of play to our offense. Dallas has a great track record of recruiting, molding, and retaining student-athletes and he is going to make a huge difference here.”
Tidwell was a part of the quarterback rotation (2012-2015) at Troy University (Troy, AL) that competed in the Sun Belt Conference. He immediately began his coaching career working with the quarterbacks at his alma mater Gardendale High School (AL) in 2016, and then shifted his talents to Minor High School serving as the quarterbacks coach/pass game coordinator the following fall.
In 2018, Tidwell jumped to the next level and was the quarterbacks/wide receivers coach while also serving as the co-offensive coordinator at East Coast Prep (Monterey, MA). Tidwell then transitioned to the collegiate level at Briar Cliff University the next two seasons, serving as the wide receivers coach in 2019 before being elevated to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2020.
Tidwell’s final stop before joining the Hawks this year was a two-year stint at Presentation College where, in 2021, he coached the quarterbacks before being promoted to the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach in 2022. Tidwell has developed and coached five All-Conference players over his time serving as an Offensive Coordinator.
The Gardendale, Alabama, native earned his Bachelor of Social Science in 2015 from Troy University.
