Hilbert College Athletics

Brian Taylor will serve as the defensive coordinator as the Hilbert College football program opens their inaugural season in 2022.

Taylor was the defensive coordinator at Canisius High School (Buffalo) from 2007 to 2021.  He helped guide the Crusaders to eight Monsignor Martin Championships and three New York State Catholic State Championships in 2014, 2016, and 2019.

Taylor played for three different teams during his five-year NFL career.  He spent two seasons from 1989-1990 with the Chicago Bears before earning a spot on the Buffalo Bills roster in 1991-92.  He closed his career with the San Francisco 49ers in 1993.

Taylor lettered at Oregon State (1987 and 1988) yet earned his economics degree from the University of New Orleans in 1996 and a master’s degree also in economics in 1998.
