Andrew Rettig enters his second season as a Co-Head Coach for the Women's Bowling program in 2025-26. He and Sara Snyder will continue to share duties guiding the Hawks after a successful first season that saw the duo lead the team to a pair of victories in the AMCC Postseason.
The Hawks, in the third year of competition after the Covid-pause, qualified for the program's first AMCC Championship Tournament as the 5th seed and then rolled over their opponents into a 3rd Place finish. The team set a new traditional game record 911 vs William Smith and a 904 Baker against Bradford. Jenna Angle, the 2024-25 Hilbert College Female Athlete of the Year, became the program's first bowler to be named to an All-Conference team after earning AMCC Second-Team honors. Following the Hawks' postseason run, Paige Angle became the first Hawk bowler to be named to the All-Tournament Team.
2025-26 will be Rettig's third season overall with the Hawks after he served as an assistant coach from 2022-2024.
The Hamburg, N.Y. native is a current member of the Professional Bowling Association and is a Staff Member of Hammer Bowling.
Rettig has earned several impressive wins in his lifetime, most recently the PBA50 Sherry Bodkins Memorial Central Open in 2025, the PBA50 Fort Meade Open in 2023, the PBA50 Mel Westrich Memorial/Brunswick Central Open in 2022, the 75th Bowlers Journal Senior Singles Champion in 2022, and the PBA AMF Woodlawn Lanes Open in 2021.
In addition, he found success at the Greater Buffalo USBC Open – Scratch Singles (2021), the Greater Buffalo USBC Open – Combine Scratch and Handicap (2018), New York State Doubles Scratch (2015), Greater Buffalo Open Team Scratch and Handicap (2014) and the Amateur Bowlers Tour (2009-2013) with eight wins..

Snyder is a veteran bowler who has an accomplished background on the lanes. She was a four-year member in the Saint Francis University Women’s Bowling program and helped the Red Flash to a Northeast Conference Championship title in 2018 which advanced the team into the NCAA postseason tournament for the first time in program history.
The Depew High School graduate was recognized locally by the United State Bowling Congress (USBC) before she continued her career at Saint Francis (2016-2020). Snyder was honored with the 2017 USBC David Dahms Sportsmanship Award and was named the Greater Buffalo Youth Bowler of the Year in 2016.
Snyder is currently employed by New Directions Youth & Family Serives. Previously, Synder RAINN worked for RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization based out of Washington, DC. She managed the RAINN Speakers Bureau which has approximately 3,000 sexual violence survivors across the country who have volunteered to share their survivorship story with the public. She has managed, coached, and trained staff while assisting with the National Sexual Assault Hotline.
Snyder received a history degree while minoring in American Studies, Political Science, Servant Leadership and Women’s Studies with a concentration in Pre-Law in 2020 from Saint Francis University. As an undergrad, she was twice honored with the SFU Intrepid Research Award allowing her to continue research in the field of sexual violence. This competitive grant is awarded annually to students proposing significant academic, creative, or service projects that are firmly grounded in humanities.
