KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Hilbert College Women's Volleyball competed at the Keuka Invitational on Saturday, earning victories over Keystone and Keuka after opening the day with a defeat against Marywood. The Hawks finished the afternoon 2-1 and improved to 2-2 on the season.
Marywood 3, Hilbert 0
Hilbert opened the day with a competitive first set before falling to Marywood by scores of 25-22, 25-13, and 25-20. The Hawks recorded 29 kills and were led offensively by
Jordan Austin, who posted nine kills, while
Lindsay Madigan added eight kills and a .467 hitting percentage.
Jazzelle McLean contributed five kills, and
Jade Schiller paced the defensive effort with 13 digs. Madigan dished out 19 assists and added eight digs in the loss.
Hilbert 3, Keystone 1
The Hawks rebounded in their second match of the day with a four-set victory over Keystone, winning 25-11, 15-25, 25-21, and 25-17. Hilbert totaled 33 kills and eight service aces while holding Keystone to a negative hitting percentage.
Jordan Austin and
Jazzelle McLean paced the attack with seven kills apiece, while Madigan added six kills, 16 assists, 11 digs, and a service ace.
Jade Schiller anchored the back row with a match-high 17 digs, and the Hawks received three service aces from Schiller during the win.
Hilbert 3, Keuka 0
Hilbert closed the invitational with a straight-set sweep of host Keuka, winning 25-23, 25-21, and 25-21. The Hawks recorded 33 kills and nine service aces while overcoming 13 tie scores during the match.
Meghan Balen led the offense with six kills and a .444 hitting percentage, while
Jazzelle McLean and
Meghan Balen each finished with six kills. Madigan contributed five kills, 16 assists, and two aces, while
Jordan Austin added 16 digs.
Jade Schiller totaled 12 digs and
Ciara Grey chipped in 10 digs as Hilbert secured its second victory of the day.
- Over the three matches, Jordan Austin led Hilbert with 21 kills while adding 26 digs and two service aces.
- Madigan filled the stat sheet with 19 kills, 51 assists, 25 digs, three service aces, and a .319 hitting percentage across the three contests.
- McLean totaled 17 kills and 18 digs, while Jade Schiller led the defensive unit with 42 digs and four service aces.
- Riley O'Neill provided 11 kills, Meghan Balen added 10 kills, and Ciara Grey tallied 26 digs.
- As a team, Hilbert posted 95 kills, 26 service aces, and 175 digs over the three-match invitational while earning victories in six of the seven sets played in its two wins.
