HAMBURG, N.Y. –Hilbert College Men's Soccer hosted Bryant and Stratton Buffalo on Hawk Field Thursday afternoon as the Hawks continued non-conference play. Each side generated chances all contest, but neither side was able to find the back of the net as the Hawks and Bobcats played to a scoreless draw.
Hilbert created several quality opportunities throughout the afternoon, including a first-half effort from
Cheyne Morton that struck the post in the 19th minute. Morton later added a shot on goal, while
Vincent Nkurunziza tested the Bryant & Stratton goalkeeper twice.
The Hawks generated four shots before halftime and six more after the break while continuing to pressure late in the match.
Hamso Dagane recorded two shots, including a save-inducing attempt in the 79th minute, and
Brian Frazer nearly provided the game-winner when his shot hit the post in the 85th minute.
Defensively, Hilbert was anchored by goalkeeper
Colten Wolowski, who recorded seven saves to keep the zero on the scoreboard. The freshman made four saves in the opening half and added three more after halftime, including stops in the 69th and 90th minutes to preserve the draw and his first career clean sheet.
