Four Hawks Find Back of the Net Multiple Times in Defeat to Keuka

KEUKA PARK, NY - Hilbert College Men's Lacrosse traveled to Keuka Park on Wednesday evening to take on the Keuka College Wolves in midweek action. The Hawks put together a steady offensive performance with multiple goals in each quarter, but the offense of the hosting Wolves proved to be too much in a 23-9 Keuka victory.

After Keuka built a 2–0 lead, Kristopher Newman put the Hawks on the board at 9:50 of the first, finishing a feed from Ty Franko. Hilbert found more rhythm late in the period, as Franko scored in transition before Nathaniel Dell closed the quarter with an unassisted strike in the final seconds, trimming the deficit to 7–3.

The Hawks continued to generate quality chances in the second quarter, highlighted by Eric Capling's unassisted tally at 5:09 and a second goal from Kristopher Newman just a minute later off Dell's setup. However, Keuka's offensive pressure kept up, converting five goals in the period to expand the margin by halftime.

Hilbert opened the third quarter strong as Dell struck again at 13:32 with an unassisted tally. Franko followed later in the frame with his second goal of the afternoon, assisted by Capling. Despite the Hawks' improved offensive execution and several crucial saves from Jose Pizarro, Keuka matched its seven goal first quarter to take a 19-7 advantage into the game's final 15 minutes.

In the fourth, Franko and Capling opened the scoring, but Keuka potted the final four goals of the contest to wrap up the non-conference victory.

Franko led Hilbert's attack with three goals and an assist, while Dell posted a four‑point effort of his own with two goals and two assists. Newman added two goals, and Capling finished with a three‑point performance behind two goals and one assist. Pizarro and Kody Moore combined for 22 saves in net.
