Game One: Hilbert 0 – Brockport 9
Game Two: Hilbert 2 – Brockport 10
Game One:
- The Hawks struggled to get much offense going in game one as an Emma Gionta fourth inning walk, followed by an Alana Yadov fifth inning free pass represented the only two Hilbert base runners of the contest.
- The Golden Eagles, however, reached base in each of the five innings, including runs in the second, third, fourth, and fifth frames, capped off by seven runs over the final two innings.
- Brockport enjoyed RBI doubles in both the fourth and fifth innings, capped off by a two-run hit in the bottom of the fifth to complete the 9-0 victory.
- Kailey Stolowski made the start for Hilbert and went four innings, allowing just one earned run (five total runs), while striking out four Golden Eagles.
Game Two:
- After a blank performance in game one, the Hilbert offense struck first in the night cap. Following a wild pitch that saw Brooke Feliciano on third base, Emily Lacki's single scored Feliciano to make it 1-0 early in the contest.
- However, Brockport quickly responded with a trio of runs of their own on a single, a walk, and a sac fly to make it 3-1 after one inning of play.
- The Hawks had a response of their own in the top of the second as singles from Ava Higgins, Madison Esmond, and Grace Schwarzkopf loaded the bases, before Feliciano's infield single brought in Esmond to make it a 3-2 game.
- Once again, the Golden Eagles answered the lone Hilbert run with multiple runs in the home half of the frame, as two more runs from the hosts made it 5-2 after the second inning.
- The teams played a scoreless third, before Brockport posted five runs, including their second home run of the game, in the bottom of the fourth to open up a commanding 10-2 lead. An empty top of the fifth from Hilbert ended the contest early as the Hawks fell in five innings for a second-consecutive game.
- Alana Yadov tossed three innings, tallying five strikeouts, while Stephanie Mirras struck out one batter in her lone innings of work.
