PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Hilbert Men's Volleyball concluded the 2025 season with a straight-set victory over win-less Carlow University this afternoon.

The 10-12 Hawks finished the season in a two-way tie for 4th place with a 3-3 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference record, but did not advance to the postseason tournament having lost the head-to-head battle with Mount Aloysius College (3-3).

Hilbert, playing their senior athletes most of the match, held the Celtics to just 10-earned points as the Hawks finished with 18 service aces.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Hilbert stacked points together in each and every set.Â
- Hilbert held an 18-5 lead in the opening game and only twice were the Celtics awarded consecutive points in the 25-11 final.
- The Hawks used a pair of 6-point runs and finished the set with a 6-1 series for the 25-6 win.
- After trailing 3-1 in the third, Hilbert went on a 14-2 run to pull away with the 25-10 win.Â
 BY THE NUMBERS Â
- Tyler Hassell led in attempts reached double digit kills (10) to record a team-best 16 points.
- Joe Grisanti, George Muriel (5 digs) and Chris Smith each posted four kills while Noah Hart added three.
- Brad Converse shifted duties in the final game of his career and recorded 21 assists and a team-high eight digs as well as three kills.
- Jacob Sehn chipped in six digs while seven of the eight Hawks recorded at least one service ace, led by Hassell's five.
