HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert Men's Volleyball welcomed Houghton University to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference this year and recorded three-match sweep over the Highlanders in their inaugural year.
Houghton made things interesting tonight, forcing a 5-set match for the first time in five matches against the Hawks with Hilbert taking a 3-2 win.

NEWS and NOTES
	- Tyler Hassell gave the Hawks a huge lift all night recording 13 kills (1 error) off a .571 percent, along with three service aces and four block assists.
- Brad Converse chipped in 11 kills, one block solo, three block assists, and team-high 11 digs.
- George Muriel added 35 assists, two aces, one block solo, two block assists and eight digs.
- Joe Grisanti recorded three kills, one ace and six digs while Noah Hart finished with one dig.
- Chris Smith posted two kills, one assist, two block assists and eight digs.
- Justin Veal and Nikolas D'Andrea combined for six kills, one ace, two block assists and three digs in the final 15-point match.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will resume action in nine days when they host back-to-back AMCC matches in Hamburg.  Hilbert will face Mount Aloysius College (3-13) for the first time this spring on Friday, March 28th at 7:00 pm and then turn around for an 11:00 am match the next morning against Penn State Altoona (10-10).
