Football Wraps up Season at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Hilbert College Football closed out its 2025 campaign on Saturday afternoon, falling 52–0 to Hartwick College at Wright Stadium. Hilbert led in time of possession with nearly 33 minutes on offense, but the hosting Hawks used quick scoring drives and big plays to end their season with a victory.

Hartwick opened the scoring midway through the first quarter, capitalizing on a 10-play, 59-yard drive punctuated by a 7-yard rushing touchdown. After a defensive stop, the hosts struck again minutes later with a 10-yard scoring run to take a 14–0 lead after one quarter.

Hilbert got its biggest play of the afternoon, a 30-yard pitch and catch from Noah Workman to Mike Hanlon in the second quarter, but an interception return touchdown from Hartwick halted the Hilbert drive. Hartwick used a 41-yard passing touchdown to round out the first-half scoring and take a 28-0 advantage into the break.

In the third quarter, Hartwick added three touchdowns through a mix of explosive plays and short passing drives, including a 31-yard touchdown pass and a 60-yard run. Hilbert's defense made a pair of big plays, with Scotty Winchell recording a sack and Da'von Cockrell grabbing an interception.

The final scoring play of the afternoon came early in the fourth quarter, as Hartwick converted a 26-yard field goal to close the scoring at 52–0.

Workman completed a pair of passes for 33 yards and added 21 rushing yards. Joseph Edick paced the ground attack with 49 yards on 15 carries, while Brody Hopkins, Christian Hamilton Jr., and Joseph Fernandez contributed rushing production to Hilbert's 105 total yards on the ground.

Hilbert's defense was highlighted by Cockrell's eight tackles and interception. Zach Brown matched him with eight total stops, while Clifford Zeigler added seven tackles and a team-high 3.5 tackles for loss. Winchell's recorded the unit's lone sack.

Today's matchup marked the end of the season for Hilbert, as the Hawks finished the campaign 0-10.
