Hawks Sweep Panthers in Straight Sets, Improve to 4-1 in AMCC Play

Schiller Sets New Single Season Record

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert Volleyball delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night at the Brad Hafner Recreation Center, sweeping Pitt-Bradford in straight sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-19) to notch their 17th win of the season and improve to 4-1 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) play.

The Hawks (17-8, 4-1 AMCC) showcased balanced offense and steady defense to control the tempo from start to finish, holding the Panthers (16-8, 2-2 AMCC) to a -.036 hitting percentage across three sets.

Needing only five digs to break the single season record, Jade Schiller cruised to another double-digit performance, finishing the night with 13.  The sophomore libero will continue to build on her 402 digs this fall in the final four games before postseason play begins.

Leading the way offensively was Lindsay Madigan, who tallied 11 kills and 2 service aces, while also contributing 8 assists. Molly McKinnon added 8 kills, four blocks and a team-high 15 digs in a strong two-way effort. Jenna Revak chipped in 5 kills to round out a well-distributed attack.

At the net, Michaela Rice anchored the defense with 5 blocks as she continues to chase her own single season record in block assists.  The senior middle needs only four more to claim her place in the Hawks record book as well.

Jessee Jonathan facilitated the offense with 13 assists and added 11 digs and Meghan Balen matched her season-high four blocks tonight.

Hilbert outpaced Pitt-Bradford in nearly every statistical category, including kills (32–23), blocks (9–6), and assists (25–21). The Hawks' efficiency grew as the match progressed, closing the third set with a match-best .182 hitting percentage.

The Hafner was electric tonight with high energy from both teams and the fans in the stands.  The opening set featured long rallies with both teams testing the opponent at the net. The Hawks pulled away from a 3-point lead to a 20-11 and then the final set victory off a kill.

Bradford looked like they found their legs in the second set after a four point run led to a two-point lead, but the Hawks battled back and kept their composure and finished strong. The offense was clicking from great defensive coverages straight to strong swings that Bradford couldn't defend.

Hilbert continued to control the pace in the final set, building a 6-2 lead early off five kills and an ace.  Timely blocks by the Hawks stifled the Panthers chances for a come back win.

Hilbert returns to the Hafner this Saturday, October 25th to host Penn State Altoona in a 12 noon AMCC game.  The Hawks will honor their five seniors who have played a key role in the success in the 2025 season.  Arrive early to celebrate the careers of Jessee Jonathan, Molly McKinnon, Jenna Revak and sisters, Michaela and McKenna Rice.
