HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Athletics Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for September 23, 2024. 

Natalie Ruhlmann (Women's Volleyball) and Evan Willett (Football) are being recognized for their athletic performances that led to their team's success last week. 

Senior Natalie Ruhlmann (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) earned her second honor this fall after holding the Hawks' defense together last week.  The 5-5 Libero tallied 77 digs (4.05 d/s) through five matches with an impressive .932 receiving rate.  She recorded 26 digs in the four-set match against Utica and reached double digit digs in four of the five matches.  She added nine assists and two service aces. 

Evan Willett (Saranac Lake, N.Y./Saranac) was impressive in his kicking efforts against #14 Endicott College on Saturday.  The 6-2 Linebacker/Punter got the Hawks out of several jams deep in their territory.  He finished with six punts on the day with the longest of 46 yards changing field position.  He also recorded six tackles, one for a loss against the 3-0 Gulls.
