Hilbert College Hawks
- After a 3-5 regular season, the Hawks earned the conference's fifth seed in the 2024 postseason tournament.
- Wednesday night's First Round game will be the program's first playoff appearance since the 2013 season.
- The Hawks 3-game winning streak late in the season ultimately helped extend their season. Hilbert outlasted Pitt-Bradford and La Roche University in a pair of 5-set wins and sandwiched a straight-set win over Carlow University the last week in October.
- Hilbert uses a balanced attack and is led by Outside Hitters Molly McKinnon's 168 kills (2.05 k/s),and Jenna Revak (1.70 k/s) who attack at the net and also as back row hitters. Middle Blockers Katie Kociszewski came on strong at the end of the season and averaged 1.87 k/s while Lynndee Ickes matched her effort with 1.37 kills. They both recorded 40 blocks each this season.
- Jessee Jonathan does a little of everything. She is ranked 3rd in the AMCC league with 5.49 assists per set, and ranked 10th in service aces per game (0.49)
- Natalie Ruhlmann recorded 371 digs and is ranked 6th in the conference with 4.22 digs per set.
- In his third season guiding the Hawks, head coach Calvin Crosby is taking the program to its' first playoff appearance in ten seasons.
Mount Aloysius Mounties
- The Mounties finished 13-14 overall, with a 5-3 conference record to earn the AMCC's third seed.
- This tournament marks the seventh consecutive postseason appearance for the Mounties.
- The team has won two of their last three contests heading into postseason play with the victories over Carlow and Hilbert before dropping a 3-set match to the top seed Alfred State.
- The Mounties are led by Molly Richards and Mackenzie Barr who average 3.83 and 3.03 kills per set, respectively. Richards is second on the team with 519 digs (5.13 d/s) and Barr has collected 55 blocks on the season (0.54 b/s).
- Reghyn Wilson quarterbacks Mount Aloysius with 4.81 assists per set after leading the team with 471 assists. Abby Brink and Maddie Myers share duties with 232 and 195 assists each.
- Mount Aloysius is coached by Brianna Baker who is in her 17th year with the program.
Series History
- The Hawks and Mounties have faced off 14 times since 2010 with Wednesday's meeting marking the first time the sides with square off in the postseason.
- Mount Aloysius swept the Hawks a week ago in Cresson by scores 25-22, 28-26, 25-13.
