BUFFALO, N.Y. – Hilbert men's soccer was defeated on the road tonight by Buffalo State. The Bengals saw six different players get on the scoresheet in their 6-0 victory. The loss drops the Hawks' record to 0-2-0 on the young season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The hosts got on the board early with a Yousif Kowa tally from an Ali Mohamed free kick in the 8th minute. Mohamed would get a goal of his own to double the Bengal lead in the 33rd minute of the contest. Just five minutes later, Manu Prieto made it a 3-0 game, which would be the lead the Bengals took to the half.
In the second half, the shots and the goals kept coming for the Bengals. Joseph Desmonie, Diego Rivera, and Frank Colella each found the back of the net to ensure the win for the hosts. The Bengals defense made the night easy for goalkeeper, Shae Wirt, not allowing a shot to reach the target.
