HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Women's Volleyball team continued to roll today as they picked up right where they left off last night.
The Hawks earned a 3-1 victory over SUNY Cobleskill in their home opening game in the Hafner Recreation Center and improved to 2-1 after their first weekend of competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers came out and built a lead early. The Hawks battled back and took a 22-20 advantage but Cobleskill went on a five-point run and put the set away.
- The second set was close early, until Natalie Ruhlmann served the Hawks through a seven-point swing which ultimately gave the Hawks a comfortable lead in the victory.
- The Hawks again benefited from strong serving as they stretched a 13-8 score to a 23-10 difference with Ruhlmann behind the line.
- Hilbert was in total control in the fourth set, though they eased off the peddle allowing the Tigers to pull within six points after falling behind by 12 late in the set.
- Michaela Rice strung together some nice numbers, leading with 17 kills, 14 digs, four blocks and two service aces. Jessee Jonathan led with five service aces, 21 digs and 34 assists while Natalie Ruhlmann chipped in 21 digs and 10 assists.
