St. Mary's City, Md. – The Hilbert College Hawks men's lacrosse team traveled down to Maryland to face St. Mary's College in the United East Conference Semifinals today. The 4
th-place UEC finishing Hawks left it all on the field, but ultimately fell to the top-seeded Seahawks, 21-3.
How it Happened: The Seahawks took control of the game early and never let up.
Joey DiMaria notched his 25
th goal of the season to break up the shutout late in the 3
rd quarter.
Ryan Davis scored his 17
th of the season on an assist from
Jason Sage late in the fourth quarter. Davis picked the top corner of the goal for his second of the game and 18
th of the season in the final 30-seconds. This goal was assisted by Sage as well.
Griffin Miller made 20 saves in the contest. With the win, St. Mary's College advances to the UEC Championship against the winner of Penn College and SUNY Morrisville who play tonight at 6:00PM.
