MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Hilbert men's lacrosse team put a point on the scoreboard in each quarter, but the Hawks suffered a 22-5 United East Conference semifinal loss to the top seeded Morrisville State Mustangs.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Michael Anzalone was credited with a game-high three caused turnovers as the Mustangs out-shot the Hawks 59-22.
- Senior Liam Doyle closed his collegiate career with a pair of scores against the Mustangs and freshman Zach Blount added one goal and an assist in the loss.
- Senior Daniel Flynn and freshman Joey DiMaria rounded out the five Hilbert scores.
- Senior Brandon Moore, who closed the game in goal the first time these two teams met a few weeks ago, made eight saves in the opening 39:09 minutes of action. Freshman Griffin Miller was credited with six saves while surrendering the game's final six goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morrisville State opened with a first-goal just 45-seconds into the game. DiMaria scored an unassisted hit at 9:15 which knotted the game at 1-1.
- The Mustangs drilled seven consecutive goals spanning two quarters of action before Doyle notched his 18th hit of the season at 8:54 in the second quarter.
- Morrisville, leading 11-2 at intermission, stretched the margin by five more points with just under six minutes remaining in the third quarter.
- Blount and Flynn (from Blount) each added a man-up goal before the start of the final period with the Mustangs leading 16-4.
- Doyle hit the back of the net at the start of the fourth quarter but Morrisville continued the same pace and added six more scores for the final 22-5 result.
GAME NOTES
- The Hawks were credited with six caused turnovers and attempted 22 shots against the top-seeded team forcing Morrisville into 10 saves.
- Morrisville, who leads the UEC in faceoff percentage (.684) won 27-31 and finished with a 43-20 advantage in ground balls but the Hawks did force 23 Morrisville turnovers.
No. 1 Morrisville will host No. 2 St. Mary's the United East Conference Championship Game Saturday, May 7th. The Seahawks advanced to the championship game today after earning an 18-5 victory over No. 3 Penn College.
