HIRAM, Ohio – Hiram College, the top-seeded team in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, earned a 3-0 win over Hilbert College in men's volleyball today.
The 8-1 Terriers, who finished the AMCC with a clean sheet going 21-5 in set play against league opponents, limited the Hawks offensively.
Hilbert closed their first season since 2017 at 0-7 and will begin to prepare for the future success on the hardwood.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marcus Wloch's kill in the first set created a 5-9 score in favor of the Terriers. Hiram went on a 15-point run before they suffered a service error which set the score at 24-6. The Hawks gave the hosts the set win on their next serve into the net.
- Dylan Suter scored the Hawks first point in the second set off a kill setup by Stephen Houghton. The duo combined for Hilbert's second point which established a 2-17 tilt before Hiram sprinted to their 25th point.
- Trailing by 17 points, Suter and Houghton put one point on the score board. Wloch earned the Hawks fifth point of the game but the Terriers put the set away four points later.
GAME NOTES
- The Hawks totaled seven kills and earned their best hitting performance of the season (-.030) six assists, and 23 digs.
- Hiram finished the match with the best stats of all Hilbert opponents this season. They earned 39 kills, 37 assists, and 48 digs.

The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference post-season tournament begins Wednesday, April 7th. The top four teams play in the semifinals with the winners advancing to the Championship Game April 10.
