Men's Soccer Struggled To Find Offense

BRADFORD, Pa. – Hilbert College continued to struggle on the offensive third as the men's soccer team fell in defeat to Pitt-Bradford this afternoon.

THE BASICS
  • Final Score:  Pitt-Bradford  8  I  Hilbert   0
  • Location: Kessel Athletic Complex I Bradford, Pa.
  • Records:  Panthers 5-6-1, 3-2 AMCC  I  Hawks  0-10, 0-4 AMCC
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After giving up an early score, Hilbert played even with Bradford the next 38 minutes.
  • The Panthers notched their second goal just nineteen seconds before intermission and took a 2-nil lead to the break.
  • Hector Harris was credited with Hilbert's lone shot in the first half, while the Panthers attempted 22 shots, connecting twice.
  • Unlike the first half, where Bradford continued to fire away at Logan Peck in goal, the hosts slowed their attack after the break.   Of the six shots attempted before the 58th minute, Bradford connected on four which extended their lead to six points.
  • The Panthers added a pair in a span of 16 seconds late in the game for the final margin.

GAME NOTES

  • Logan Peck earned his fourth double figure saves game finishing with 14 in the full 90 minutes.
  • The Panthers unleashed 44 shots and held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.
  • Harris, Sebastian Flewellyn and Somo Somo took the four Hilbert shots today.
