HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Hilbert College women's volleyball team forced a 4-set match against Cazenovia this morning in the Hawks home opener.

The Wildcats earned an easy 25-7 1st set win before Hilbert rebounded for a win in game two.  The Hawks earned eight kills and three solo blocks as they rushed out to an early lead in the 25-21 victory.

Cazenovia regrouped for a win in the third (25-12) but didn't have it easy in the 4th set as the Hawks stayed with the Wildcats the entire time.  The visitors held on to win their first match of the season after they closed the day with a 25-20 victory.

Hilbert finished the match with 13 team kills while the Wildcats knocked down 36 kills.

Ashley Repine posted six kills at the net, Ashley Page was credited with 13 assists on all the team kills and Cassandra Thompson led with 13 digs.  Repine finished with all three of the team's solo blocks and Rachel Hare finished with four service aces.

The Hawks (0-4) return to play Wednesday, September 11th when they travel for a 7pm game at Elmira College.
