BUFFALO, N.Y. – Hilbert College scored one goal each half and dropped a 20-2 Buffalo Cup and NEAC loss to D'Youville College this evening at Dobson Field.
Calista Mis broke the string off 14 unanswered goals by the Spartans in the first half and
Aaryonah Vaughn finished the night's scoring for both teams with 3:50 left in the running clock.
The Spartans (5-10, 1-6) outshot the Hawks 32-7 and scooped 31 ground balls off Hilbert's 24 turnovers.? D'Youville stayed on attack most of the night by winning 18 of the game's 22 draws.
Nicole Darrow made seven saves in 50:52 minutes of action and
Alayna DeFazio closed the final 9:08 with three saves.
The Hawks (0-10, 0-7) finish their 2019 season with back-to-back games this weekend. They host Wells College on Friday, April 26 at 4pm in Hamburg and then will celebrate the careers of four seniors the following day prior to the 1pm game against Cazenovia.
