CRESSON, Pa. - Mt. Aloysius posted a 9-0 AMCC victory over men's soccer this afternoon. With the win, Aloysius improves to 3-1 in AMCC play, while the Hawks fall to 0-3 in AMCC contests.
Tucker Reynolds suffered the defeat after making 15 saves in a complete game effort in goal for the Hawks. Meanwhile,
Brandon Bundschuh was credited with both of Hilbert's shots offensively.
Mt. Aloysius tallied 40 shots en route to their 8th victory of the season.
After allowing an early goal in the opening minutes, the Hawks showed fight over the next 22 minutes of play on the defense end, keeping the Mounties off the scoreboard despite facing numerous offensive attacks. Mt. Aloysius notched 2 more goals in the in the 24th and 31st minute respectively to take a 3-0 lead into the half and didn't look back from there.
Hilbert returns to action Wednesday, October 9th when they travel to Dobson Field to take on Buffalo Cup rival D'Youville College at 5:00pm.
