ERIE, Pa. - No. 20 Penn State Behrend continued to shine on the pitch tonight and after their 7-0 victory over Hilbert College, the Lions maintained their Top 20 ranking in Division III men's soccer.
The Lions, who at 9-1 have secured the #2 seed in AMCC post-season tourney, finished their season at 17-1.
Hilbert, who trailed by a four-goal margin before the 19th minute, closed their season at 0-13-1.
The Hawks were limited offensively as they were out numbered 26-13 with the hosts rotating fresh legs into the game each half.
Brandon Bundschuh closed his Hilbert career with 16 saves after facing 44 shots. Â Behrend pushed the pace earning 14 corner kicks but Hilbert came-up with stops after each centering pass.
Carl Zarcone (one on-goal) and
Hector Harris were credited with Hilbert's two shots tonight.
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play-offs begin Saturday, November 2.  The top six teams move into post-season with No. 1 and No. 2 advancing directly into the semi-finals November 6.  The highest  remaining seed will host the AMCC championship game November 9 with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
