Box Score 2 OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's volleyball team faced two tough teams today in Day Two of the Oswego Invitational tournament this morning.
The Hawks came away with a pair of straight-set losses to dropped to 0-11 on the season.
Elmira College (25-9, 25-12, 25-18) improved to 6-2 and St. John Fisher moved to 10-3. (no stats are available at this time for the second match).
The Hawks finished with more kills than hitting errors for the first time this fall as they collected 10 kills against the Soaring Eagles.
Ashley Repine finished with five kills, seven digs and two service aces.
Torianna LeWand connected with four assists, three kills and five digs.
Sierra Seader added four digs in the morning game against Elmira.
At the conclusion of the seven team tournament,
Torianna LeWand garnered another All-Tournament team honor. Elmira's Natalie Schieder was named the tournament MVP and she was joined by teammate Taylor Kaznowski. Izzy Smith and Anna Marcy (SJFC), Miranda Stockbridge and Hannah Voss (Utica), Alison Sullivan and Julia Flohr (Oswego), Peyton Robinson (Canton) and Alexis Akingbade (Bard) round-out the All-Tournament team.
Once final stats become available for the St. John Fisher match, this article will be updated.
Hilbert will travel to Cazenovia College early next week with a Tuesday, September 19
th match in central New York.
