ERIE, Pa. – The Hilbert College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Penn State Behrend tonight in AMCC action.
The Lions posted their first league victory and improved to 7-10 overall (1-2 AMCC) while the Hawks dropped to 1-16 overall and 0-5 in conference standings.
Behrend took advantage of the service line (21 aces) and built large leads in each of the three sets (25-6, 25-8, 25-12). The Hawks collected 11 team kills but finished hitting in the negative in the loss.
Torianna LeWand combined three kills with five assists, eight digs and two service aces.
Sierra Seader led the Hawks with four kills (.200).
Hilbert enters a ten-day break from competition and returns to action October 14 when they travel to Alfred University's campus to play Messiah College and Alfred State.
