HAMBURG, N.Y. – Excited to be playing on their home court in-front of family and friends, Hilbert fell in five-sets to Keuka College in women's volleyball today.  

Morgan Ott and Ashley Viengmay each posted the number 20 today, but the Hawks weren't able to pull through in the final set and dropped to 0-3 after two days of competition.

Amanda Binder led the Hawks with 10 kills and got help at the net from Chelsea Adamski's eight tallies.  Ott assisted on 20 of Hilbert's 28 team kills and added four more service aces to her season total of eight.  Viengmay is on a roll and reached for 20 more digs almost half of the team's 50 total ups.  Binder was also credited with two solo blocks.

Keuka took the odd-numbered sets with Hilbert rebounding after each loss.  The Wolfpack won 25-19 and 25-14 while Hilbert outlasted the visitors in the second set, 26-24 and took a 25-21 fourth set. 

The fifth set started slowly for Hilbert as Keuka rushed to 8 points first and caused the court rotation.  The Hawks responded with back-to-back kills to force a 8-8 tie and a Keuka timeout.  Binder hit a soft kill over the block in the middle which pushed the Wolfpack back to their coach on the sideline with score knotted 11-11. Keuka pulled away from there and claimed the final point on a service ace to win 15-11.

The Hawks (0-3) will host Geneseo next week, September 9 at 7pm back in the Hafner.
