LATROBE, Pa. – Senior Jonathan Davison put the Hawks on the board first, but that lead didn't stand long enough as Hilbert fell to Saint Vincent College, 3-1, this afternoon in men's soccer.

Davison, scoring his fourth goal this year, gave the Hawks a lift after a scoreless first half.  Tyler Eister got the ball to the front of the net and Davison knocked it home in the 51st minute. 

Saint Vincent responded six minutes later and knotted the game off a rebound in the box at 57:35 then grabbed the game winner in the 67th minute.  With four minutes remaining in the non-conference game, Saint Vincent tallied one more time after two corner kicks and three header shots.

The Bearcats held a 29-9 advantage in shots and doubled-up the Hawks 14-6 on goal.  Saint Vincent took 12 corner kicks while Hilbert never made it to the corner.

Ryan Valentine was credited with another double-digit save day, poking away 11 saves.  Davison had a foot on three of Hilbert's six shots on goal, with his first shot of the day flying wide.

The Hawks (1-4) return to action this week when they host Wells College in a 2:45 pm start on September 23.  Their last non-conference game of the season will be live streamed.
