HIRAM, OH – The Hilbert College women's volleyball team suffered two non-conference losses today in the Buckeye state.  The Hawks were limited with a short bench and fell to Hiram College and Marietta College in straight sets to fall to 2-8 overall.

Hiram opened the day with a 25-12 win before Hilbert rebounded, but fell short.  The Terriers won the second set 25-22 and followed with a 25-9 final blow.

Amanda Binder finished with seven of the team's 15 kills.  Morgan Ott assisted on 50% of the team's assists, leading with seven.  Chelsea Adamski was one dig short of a double-dig game and her nine lead the three other players to notch returned balls.  Olivia Tom returned to action today and gave the Hawks their only service ace.

Marietta College rushed out of the gate and held Hilbert to just 8 points to claim set one.  Again, the Hawks rebounded in the second set but settled for a 25-22 loss and then fell 25-16 in the final set of the day.

Jordan Botsford had her game-going against Marietta as she finished with 10 kills and eight digs.  Binder tossed down seven kills and added 12 digs along with an ace.  Kayla Lewis chipped in 11 digs and Ott led the offense with 12 assists.

The Hawks have a week off from competition before they return to action at Geneseo State with a tri-match between the Knights and Oswego State September 20th.
