Amanda Logue

Under Amanda Logue’s leadership, the women’s volleyball program at Hilbert College has shown continued growth and improvement since she became the head coach in 2009.

After four seasons of building the program, Coach Logue’s efforts were rewarded as her 2012 team showed a nine-game improvement and the 15-10 Hawks also qualified for the program’s first-ever AMCC play-off game. The 2012 team broke ten season records and pushed several players into the top spots in the All-Time career leaders list. For their efforts, the league coaches voted Amanda Logue as the AMCC Coach of the Year and freshman Allegra Johnson was named as a the 1st Team All-Conference player.

Prior to Hilbert, Logue spent several years coaching at the club and at the high school level locally. From 2006 - 2009, Logue coached volleyball at Mount St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Kenmore, NY. She became the varsity head coach after only one year at the school and upon her elevation, her teams began to show improvements. At the completion of the 2008 volleyball season, the ‘Thunder’ finished the season ranked fourth in the Buffalo News small school division, and they represented Monsignor Martin Athletic Association (MMAA) in the state qualifiers for the catholic school division play-offs. This was very special to Mount St. Mary’s volleyball program since it was the first time in 12 years they advanced to the state qualifier.

During the same years, Logue also coached Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club’s 16’s team to a very respectable record of 55 – 14, winning several championships along the way.

Logue’s volleyball experience began as a player in the Cheetah Club Volleyball program back in 1998. She continued to play volleyball throughout her high school years (Kenmore West Senior High School, Buffalo, NY) and into college (Medaille College, Buffalo, NY). Logue served as team captain and earned several individual awards during her four seasons at Medaille. Her name can still be found in several categories in the career statistical leaders’ record book for Medaille volleyball. She had 78 service aces, had 429 kills, and 1,691 total attempts while competing in 312 games.

Logue earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2006 and graduated in 2013 with her masters in mental health counseling also at Medaille College.
