Emily Gawlak (Buffalo, N.Y. / Mt. Mercy) continues to pace the 19-6 women’s basketball program. She averaged 35.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and shot .727-percent from beyond the arc in Hilbert’s 1-1 week.
Gawlak scored 71 points and pulled down 13 rebounds; she made 26-of-42 from the field (.619) with an even better rate of 8-of-11 from the 3-point area in 79 minutes of action.
She established her career-high when scoring 40 points in the Hawks lost to Penn State Behrend (67-64) and followed that performance with her second double-double of the season scoring 31 points and securing 11 rebounds in Hilbert’s win at Penn State Altoona (83-65)
