Ashley Schroeder, whose efforts off the bench lifted the women’s basketball team to a pair of AMCC victories last week, earned her first Hawk of the Week honor.
The 5-7 freshman guard totaled 22 points, hitting 15-of-19 at the charity strip while dishing seven assists and swiping six steals.
She averaged 11 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals a game as the Hawks earned a Buffalo Cup win over Medaille and road win at Franciscan.
The Caledonia, MN native scored eight points, hitting 6-of-8 at the foul line, dished seven assists and was credited with five steals in Hilbert’s 79-69 win over the cross-town rivals Medaille. Schroeder closed the weekend scoring 14 points with a 9-for-11 effort at the charity stripe as the Hawks posted a 63-49 win in Ohio.
