Senior G Alex Karamanos, who earned his first Hawk of the Week this season, continues to drive the men’s basketball team in the win column.
The 6’2 Rosendale, N.Y. (Kingston/Herkimer CCC/Ulster CCC) has found his rhythm from the floor hitting 61-percent of this field goal attempts while leading the Hawks to a pair of victories. He scored 39 points, sank 17-of-28 shots from the floor and went 5-for-7 at the charity stripe and pulled down 18 rebounds.
Karamanos averaged 19.5 points, nine rebounds hit 72-percent from the foul line in 23 minutes per game.
Karamanos scored 15 points (6-of-9) in the lop-sided AMCC 99-75 win over D’Youville and then poured in his second-highest effort of 24 points in the run-and-gun victory over Keuka College.
In only his second season as a Hawk, he has developed into a scorer, leading the team in both scoring (13.4), rebounding (5.8) and field goal percentage (.617).
