Hector Harris earned his first career Hawk of the Week honor after shifting his focus from finding ways to score to discovering ways to stop opponents from scoring.
The Hilbert first-year player was credited with 43 saves (21.5 saves per game) last week when he moved into net as the Hawks starting goalie for 180 minutes of action.
Harris, who holds a .754 career save percentage average, set a career high record of 21 saves against Medaille mid-week, then one-upped that number with 22 saves Saturday vs Penn State Altoona.
The 6’4 Bordentown, NJ resident limited both opponents to just 14 goals, where a year ago, the Mavericks and Lions knocked in 26 goals against the 2018 Hawks.
