Ryan Spath earned his first Hawk of the Week honor in his sophomore campaign with the men's lacrosse team.
The 6-1 Pomperaugh High School grad (Southbury, CT) helped to lead the Hawks in a 1-1 week. Â Spath, last year's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year and a North Eastern Athletic Conference Third Team All-Conference player, recorded a pair of hat tricks in the Hawks loss to the undefeated, league-leader, Morrisville State, before Hilbert claimed a road win at Alfred State.
Spath scored three goals off three shots on goal and led the Hawks with two caused turnovers through the midfield against Morrisville. Â He repeated that offensive production, (3-for-3) with another two caused turnover performance against the Pioneers from A-State.
Spath is currently second on the team in ground balls (as a field player), third in caused turnovers and third in goals scored.
