Griffiths DeMayo collected his first Hawk of the Week honor after leading the baseball team at the plate last week.

The 6’2 INF from Hamburg went 5 for 7 with a double, added 2RBI, two runs and a stolen base in the doubleheader against Houghton College March 15.  He closed the week with a .714 batting average and a .857 slugging percentage while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in seven total chances.

DeMayo went 2 for 3 in the 5-1 opening loss and tacked on another strong performance as the clean-up batter going 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs in the 9-7 nightcap defeat.

Through 10 games played, DeMayo’s .333 batting average slots him in at #10 in the AMCC league.
