Ashley Repine was in a zone last week and her focus on the hardwood helped her collect her third consecutive Hawk of the Week honor.
Repine posted 70 points, grabbed 34 rebounds with 20 coming on the offensive glass. The 5-10 junior forward also added seven block shots and converted 59 percent of her shots from the floor leading the women’s basketball to two wins. She averaged 23.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
Repine opened the week scoring 18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds (9 offensive) in the 69-66 league loss to Medaille. Then, 24-hours later, she tallied 24 points, grabbed another 11 rebounds and swatted three shots away in Hilbert’s 69-65 road win at Bradford. Repine closed the weekend scoring a career-high 28 points, cleaned the glass for 12 rebounds and kept three more Franciscan shots from reaching the backboard as the Hawks earned a 69-54 victory.
Repine continues to lead the AMCC in field goal percentage (53.8%) and is 6th in the league in scoring (15.2 ppg) and rebounding (8.4 rpg).
