Michael Podgorny closed his final week of volleyball with a bang which garnered him another Hawk of the Week honor.

The Grand Island native collected 65 kills, two service aces, 33 digs and four total blocks in four matches last week.  Podgorny led the Hawks with 5.00 kills and 2.54 digs per set and added two solo blocks while chipping in two block assists.

The 6-2 Outside Hitter posted double digit kills in three of the four matches played and finished with a .269 attack percent.  He collected 23 kills in a four-set match against Keuka, but earned his best hitting percentage, .400 (16/4/30) against Wells.  Podgorny chipped in 13 digs in the Keuka match as well as two service aces.

Podgorny is currently ranked second in the NEAC league with 3.68 kills per set and third with 4.1 points per set.
